Poem by Maeve Ward ’17.
I want my mind to fly
I want my mind to fly so high
That I can barely breathe
For lack of oxygen.
I want the continents
To look like tiny textbook maps
As I soar over microscopic
Toy airplanes.
I want my mind to do flips
High in the thermosphere
The delicate precision of an Elanoides
Parkour in the skies
My mind is hungry,
Still lacking the fuel
To take to the sky,
But no matter how much I know, it will always remain famished
Because I want to know everything.
